This six-week series invites you to an introductory course in Christian Ethics. In this course, you will not learn what the right thing is to do. You will not learn answers to the fundamental questions of right and wrong, good and evil, or resolve the difficult uncertainties and dilemmas you may face in your community or in response to global issues. We will address these questions and examine how some Christian communities and traditions have grappled with them, and practice some methods for responding to these questions in our lives. We will examine differences in perspective, opinion, tradition and truth and learn some ways to communicate about them.
The course is a continuing education program jointly offered by St. Andrew’s College (a theological seminary of The United Church of Canada), and The Refinery.
Course facilitator: Dr. Lynn Caldwell, Professor of Church and Society at St. Andrew’s College.
6 TUESDAYS – Oct 2 – Nov 6, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Class Fee is $50.00.
