CARBs is a youth and adult faith formation program designed for anyone interested in learning more about or preparing for:
- The Sacrament of Confirmation
- Learning more about the Anglican Communion and the Anglican Church of Canada
- Reception into the Anglican Church
- Renewal of Baptismal Vows – suitable for adults who want to renew their commitment to their faith
- Baptism for Youth and Adults
Registration for CARBs closed 11 Feb.
CARBs will begin on Thursday February 22, and will be offered on Thursday evenings, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. (Tuesday evenings are an alternative) and Sunday mornings and early afternoons at St. John’s Cathedral, 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Ten sessions will be offered February 22 – March 25, and the program will end with a retreat following the Good Friday service on March 30. All sacraments for youth and adults will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil, Saturday March 31, 8:00 p.m.

Thursday February 22 – Session 1:TELLING OUR STORY

Sunday February 25 – Session 2:WORLD RELIGIONS/THE OLD TESTAMENT (THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES)/JESUS OF NAZARETH

Thursday March 1 – Session 3: THE LIFE, DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS/THE EMERGING CHURCH/THE NEW TESTAMENT (THE CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES)

Sunday March 4 – Session 4: HEALING OUR WOUNDED WORLD/NURTURING A LIFE OF PRAYER

- An Instructional Eucharist with Dean Scott
Sunday March 18 – Session 8:HOLY ORDERS/MARRIAGE
- “The Trusting Spirit: The Sacrament of Holy Orders”
- “The Sharing Spirit: The Sacrament of Marriage”
Thursday March 22 – Session 9: RECONCILIATION/ANOINTING OF THE SICK
- “The Healing Spirit: The Sacrament of Reconciliation”
- “The Saving Spirit: The Anointing of the Sick”
Sunday March 25 – Session 10: APPROACHING DEATH/MARY, MOTHER OF GOD
- “Reborn in the Spirit: The Death of a Christian”

Thursday March 29, 7:00 p.m. – Maundy Thursday Service
Friday March 30, 1:00 p.m. Good Friday Service
- Retreat follows service
- Shared Meal after retreat concludes
Saturday March 31, 8:00 p.m. Easter Vigil
- All Confirmations, Reception into the Anglican Church, Renewal of Baptismal Vows, and youth/adult baptisms will be taking place at this service
Sunday April 1, 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.Easter Sunday Services
- Baptisms of infants and children will be taking place at the 10:30 a.m. service
