Some 410 cyclists took part in last Sunday’s chilly MS Bike at Waskesiu Lake; between them they had raised more than $270,000 in donations in the last eleven months. The event went off very well with no problems apart from very cold fingers and toes; a couple of hardy souls even rode in shorts !
The temperature at start time was 4 degrees C, which went up to 8 C by mid-afternoon, and as luck would have it the forecast rain held off until after the last rider had completed the course.
Me? Sad to say I was grounded last week by my doctor so I could not ride, the first time in thirteen years and eighteen participations at MS Bike events that this has happened.
However, thanks to you I have raised over $2,400 for the MS Society this year, and I appreciate your confidence in supporting me. If you have not yet donated and would still care to you are not too late; I can accept donations towards my 2018 total until the end of the month.
Peace and Blessings,
Chris Wood
