As we take precautions to practice social distancing in order to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 caronavirus, and at the same time continue our mission and ministry to care for God’s world, we will not be ceasing operations by any means. We will be endeavouring to come up with new and innovative ways to reach out to you in ministry and care and we will try our best to keep you connected and informed of our common life together. It will be different for a while, there is no doubt about that as we all adjust to these changes, but our life together has by no means ended! As we adapt to these new and necessary changes, our day to day operations will likely be functioning in different ways for the next while. As a result, the Cathedral Offices may be keeping irregular hours in the coming weeks as public access is limited and programs and groups are postponed for the time being. The Offices will be closed indefinitely.
We will likely be assessing this on a weekly basis and will communicate to you about office hours and other updates as we are able. Remember that COVID-19 cannot stop us from praying and from caring for one another. We are still connected to one another as the Body of Christ in prayer and in love. Nothing can change that! Nothing – “neither death nor life, nor angles, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39) — Dean Scott
