Your SGI rebate can support Ministry for St. John's Anglican Cathedral parish!

You may have heard about SGI’s plan to send rebate cheques to all Saskatchewan vehicle owners over the next 6 weeks, with an average rebate of $380.

Thanks to the faithful and generous support of parish members like you, St. John’s has been able to keep important ministry needs and Cathedral operations going over the last 15 months. But even with a bare bones budget for 2021, we are falling short for the donations and revenue needed this year. It takes $20,000 a month to meet our current budget and on average in 2021 we have been $2,000 short per month, so far. This means a cumulative shortage of $8,000. An important note – we’d like to share a big thank you to a number of parish members who have made significant gifts to our Restoration Campaign which is now just $25,000 short of reaching our goal! More on this in the near future.

The Stewardship Ministry team would like to invite you to help St. John's to “catch up” on our budget over the next few weeks. In addition to your regular support to St. John's, you can donate your rebate cheque or whatever portion you wish. If 50% of our parish takes the challenge, we can “make up” one month’s worth of budget or $20,000. Combined with the ongoing support you generously provide, you will be setting the parish up for a successful year.

You can make your gift by cheque mailed to the office (816 Spadina Crescent S7K 3H4), e-transfer (donations@stjohnscathedralsaskatoon.ca adding a note that it is for the SGI rebate campaign) or by credit card through Canada Helps at the donate button above.

All gifts will receive a tax receipt in February of 2022. Thank you so much for considering this forward-looking idea suggested by a parish member!
